NEW FACE BEHIND DRUM KIT & RETURN OF A LEGEND

NEW DRUMMER
The band did not get into a depression when Gerard Haitsma announced the withdrawal of his team membership. The ‘old hand’ had to focus on his social career and rehearsing became next to impossible. Let alone performing on stage. Of course it was sad enough to say goodbye to a familiar face and character. However, the remaining Trio did not want to surrender and started to look for another wizard behind the drum kit. Luckily a successor was found on an amazingly short notice!

Remy Kueter is not only a skilled drummer. With his great sense of humor, the multi-talented Remy (who has a steady voice, plays the bass guitar and piano pretty well too) fits the band perfectly. He mastered the playlist in no-time and turned out to be a real asset.

RETURN OF A LEGEND
Talking about assets; LAVA welcomed yet another one only a few weeks after Remy Kueter joined. Frank de Vries*, the guitarist from the original 1973-1976 line-up (check History of LAVA here), learned about LAVA’s current activities and immediately contacted the lads with his well-known calm, but cool voice: “Seems great and a lot of fun what you guys are doing. Kind alike in the ol' days. I would love to join the party as well. Do you mind?” Of course, nobody objected. In fact, Frank has been welcomed with open arms instantaneously. A Legend had returned.
Since his LAVA period, Frank always remained faithful to his passion; composing and making music. He is one of those rare musicians who is able to get the very best out of his teammates.

LAVA is ready again to conquer the podia!
